This is a very large park, you can enjoy many types of views and places to sit around. There's enough space to place a tent. Suitable for families with kids who want to play outside. Parking lot for cars and bicycles.
Maioka Park is a beloved nature spot in this area, which you can picnic at, walk or jog in, or take photos of its various views. I love visiting here periodically, usually as part of a jog.
Nice place for a little nature hiking in the city. There is a traditional farm house and rice is still grown here to show traditional farming methods.
Local park. Even in elementary school, I slowly went to the place where I went on an excursion for the first time. There were old folk houses and rice fields on the premises more than I expected, so it was fun.
Maioka Park is located in between Totsuka station and Maioka Station .
It has an ample parking space @ 300/2hours.
It has many short hike routes up and down hill. It also has a tent stand space.
Cyclers and pedestrain it's a good news that the cycle parking and entrance is free .
As I live in the 1 hour walking distance I frequently go there with my two kids and wife. Picnic spot is available. Toilet and drinking water tap facilities available. Toilet is clean .
No restaurant or convenience stores around , I highly suggest to carry some snacks or food and drinks.
A day relaxing picnic with kids and playing kits is the best .
Last time I was there in mid December but still the maple color red was remaining which proves it's best to be there in November the pick time for leaves color change . But still I could capture few beautiful pictures of colored leaves and also the fallen leaves. Fallen leaves are called 落ち葉 ochiha in Japanese. It reminds me " nature sustains it's beauty even after falling " many things to learn from the nature .
Cheers
Entrance is free. But it can be crowded in bird season. The park is famous for bird watching. There is traditional house museum for kids.
Beautiful park with nice trails for a walk.
Many trails are not suitable for baby cars.
This place has plenty of trails. Some locations there look good for picnic with pets. Not a lot of parking available.
